Canal at Dawn
You need to get up early in the morning sometimes. I was able to catch this rich blue scene in the half-hour before sunrise, when the water was like glass and formed an almost perfect mirror. The only problem was that the white Hostas in the foreground were in deep shade. Since I had 10 seconds of exposure to play with, I lightpainted them with a powerful flashlight while the shutter was open.
