Sunrise, Roswell, NM
This is the image I use on my business cards. Even if you’re out driving, you’ll find stuff to shoot. It was about a quarter to seven in the morning when I saw this absolutely incredible sunrise developing just outside of Roswell, New Mexico. I pulled off the road, unpacked a camera, and started shooting. The silhouetted land at the bottom of the frame forms the base for the absolute riot of colors, deepening into the still-deep, dark sky above my head. It’s easy to be cynical and brash, but this sunrise was an Experience.
