I’m a sucker for shiny hood ornaments. Add to that almost a fluorescent red car and I’m hooked. Shot close in with a wide-angle lens and a polarizing filter to manage the reflections.

Mid 50′s Chevy hood ornaments were all about the then-new jet airplane, representing ultra-modern swiftness. Of course, I love them for the beautiful art objects that they are. Here, I’ve used a polarizing filter and careful use of positioning to control reflections.
